Six suspected Indian Mujahideen operatives, including a Pakistani national, were arrested on Wednesday due to their alleged involvement in several blast case, including in Delhi. With these, investigators claimed to have resolved several blast cases, including last year's February 13 German Bakery Case, April 17 Chinnawamy stadium twin blast case and the Jama Masjid blast case.
Sources said the arrest were made in the past couple of days following the investigations in Chennai.

Fear turned into tragedy for two Lucknow families when they saw the bodies of their teenaged boy and girl child in the hospital mortuary in the capital city. The minors had allegedly run away from their home and allegedly ended their lives by jumping infront of the train at the Nizamuddin railway station.
The couple, was the classmates studying in XI standard studying at a local public school, had fled Lucknow on November 9 because their families opposed their closeness. Later on November 15, their bodies were found on railway tracks near Ashram.
An officer said that they do not know if the financial problems that arouse after they escaped from UP led them to take such a decision.

The police said that a 60-year-old man was today arrested for allegedly raping a two-year-old child in Shant Nagar near Giaspura, Ludhiana.
According to the FIR lodged at Focal Point Police Station against Dina Nath, the small kid was playing outside her home, when he came and took her into his room and later on raped her.
The police said on hearing the cries of baby girl, her mother caught red-handed the elderly man who was allegedly raping her small girl child and handed him over to the police station this morning.
The girl has been admitted in a government hospital here.

According to a report by online realty portal 99acres.com the Capital City, Delhi, has been emerged as one of the most unsafe cities along with Patna, Kanpur and Meerut in a country.
The report, which was prepared by the global market research firm YouGov on behalf of 99acres.com, has reported Chandigarh to be the safest place in the country followed by Vadodara, Shimla and Udaipur in terms of crime, law enforcement and terrorism.
The survey, comprising 6,161 samples and 37 cities across the country, placed Meerut at the bottom of the safety parameters assigning 2.39 points in a scale of 0-5, while Delhi came in the 34th position with 2.8 points.
The study said thatDelhi, along with Patna, Kanpur and Meerut emerged as one of the most unsafe cities in the country.
In terms of people enjoying better human conditions, Delhi was ranked as 28th.
In the survey the most and least desirable cities to live in India, Chandigarh emerged on top of the list across most parameters that were taken into consideration while arriving at the overall desirability index.
Chandigarh was topped in the field of education, health, living conditions, safety, human rights and culture.
Meerut has been placed at the bottom of the list in the field of education, safety, human rights, culture and finance.
As far as the capital city, Delhi is concerned, it was ranked 4th in education, 3rd in health, 10th in living conditions, 6th in culture and 3rd in financial aspects.

Swan Telecom promoter Shahid Usman Balwa was granted bail today by a Delhi Court which applied the principle of parity by taking sign from the Supreme Court and High Court orders providing relief to 10 other accused in the 2G spectrum allocation scam. With the release of Shahid Balwa, all corporate executives accused in the case have been granted bail and only the three public servants namely former Telecom Minister A Raja, former Telecom Secretary Siddharth Behura and Raja's former Private Secretary R K Chandolia are in jail. Special CBI Judge O P Saini, who has dismissed all the prior bail applications moved before him in the case and granted relief to Shahid Balwa on the same conditions imposed by the Supreme Court and High Court while granting bail to the other offenders.
The Court, however accepted the submission of Balwa's counsel Vijay Aggarwal that the charges framed against his client were identical to that of the accused Vinod Goenka, Director of Swan Telecom, who has been granted bail by the Supreme Court. CBI also did not oppose Balwa's bail plea on the ground of parity. The court said that the ten accused referred above in the order have been granted bail by the Supreme Court as well as the High Court and the charges framed against Vinod Goenka and the applicant cum the accused Shahid Balwa are almost identical in nature and follows the principle of parity and accordingly he is admitted to bail. Shahid Balwa, who was in the jail since his arrest since February this year, was granted the relief of furnishing a bond of Rs. 5 lakh with two sureties of the like amount.

As per the police report an Assistant Manager of Infosys Ltd was found hanging in her apartment in a suburb here on Monday.
Smita Rao, aged 32 years, was found hanging in her flat on the third floor of Mantri Splendour apartments. She was later on rushed to a private hospital but was declared dead. Hennur police station inspector G Prabhakar told reporters that a case of unnatural death by hanging will be registered after they receive her post-mortem report from the hospital.
According to the hospital reports, Smita was brought into the hospital in an ambulance from the flat but could not be treated as doctors found her dead when took her into the emergency award.
Smita, joined the Infosys in June 2010 was handling the online content for the company's official website, providing corporate updates and writing business stories and features.
Infosys did not respond to the calls and its officials were unavailable for comment on the incident involving one of its employees.
Before joining Infosys, she was working as the Deputy City Editor at Bangalore Mirror and later on as a Senior Correspondent with the Times of India and later on joined News 9, as reporter.

The Karnataka High Court on Monday granted anticipatory bail to him and his family members in a corruption case.
Allowing the petitions filed by Yeddyurappa, his two sons namely B Y Raghavendra, B Y Vijayendra and son-in-law, R N Sohan Kumar, Justice H Billappa directed them to furnish Rs. 2 lakh bond and two sureties each for a like sum.
The Judge said that the apprehensions if any regarding the tampering of evidence or witnesses can be taken care of by imposing certain conditions and observed the petitions were maintainable and that the accused cannot flee from justice.
The Judge on listing the conditions while granting the bail said the accused should not leave the country without the prior permission of the court and shall not visit any places where witnesses reside. They should not tamper with witnesses or evidence and shall not attend the court regularly without any failure except for vital reasons and and should not commit any offence.
The judge said that if any condition was violated, the complainant Basha can approach the court for the cancellation of bail.
The judge added that there is enough material to indicate petitioner's apprehension of arrest in a nin-bailable offence and therefore the petitions are maintainable.
The court said that all the accused including B S Yeddyurappa, had been granted bail in two corruption cases and are ready to co-operate in the investigation. Besides, the petitioners had already granted the anticipatory bail in two other such cases by the same court earlier this month.
This is the fifth and the last corruption case filed by Advocate Sirajin Basha in the Lokayukta court against Yeddyurappa and others.

Driven by miserable poverty and unbearable pain, a bed ridden woman in Odisha's Ganjan district has moved an appeal petition seeking for euthanasia.
Jhunu Behera aged 38 years, a resident of K Barida Village and a mother of four children, sought a permission from the President and Odisha Governor for euthanasia.
In her letter written to the President, she said that instead of making more troubles to her family members, she wants to die.
Abhiram Pradhan, brother of the patient was quoted as saying that atleast 5 lakhs rupees they needed for the operation so as to replace the valves of her heart that was damaged. But it was impossible for her husband and for her family to meet such a huge amount, as her husband was only a daily wage earner.
Pradhan said that she dashed off the letters on October 28 to the President and Governor seeking permission for euthanasia. He later on added that, even though the Governor and President's office acknowledges the receipt of the letter, so far there has been no reply to the letter.

A senior police official said that a woman was critically injured when four persons threw acid upon her when she resisted to enter into their Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV).
DIG Rajesh Rai said that the men first tried to drag the 27-year-old woman into the SUV in Barra area last evening. When she refused to enter, they threw acid at her hands and legs.
He added that then they threw the woman on the road following which she was admitted to a hospital, where her condition was claimed to be in a critical stage.
The DIG said that further a medical examination will be held so as to ascertain whether she has undergone any kind of sexual assault or not.
He again added that so far one person has been arrested in connection with this ad he is being interrogated.

The Supreme Court has sought the Uttar Pradesh government's response on a doctor's plea for CBI probe into the alleged kidnapping of his wife, also a physician and no sigh of her whereabouts for the past five months.
A bench comprising of Justices A K Ganguly and J S Khehar asked the advocates on record Sirish Mishra to take notice on behalf of the state after Brijesh Tyagi through his counsel Ajay Agarwal alleged that the local police was in conspiracy with the kidnappers, hence, a CBI probe was needed which could help in tracking his wife Suman, who is in her 40's.
The family claimed that it had made representations to the Prime Minister, Chief Minister, Union Home Minister, NHRC and several other top functionaries, but the disappearance of the woman still continues to be a mystery.
According to a local BJP councillor, Brijesh, Suman who owns a clinic 25 km away from their home at Meerut, was apparently kidnapped on June 27, while travelling in a tempo near Macchhra village.

Another incident of violence has come up, wherein a 17-year-old student was allegedly stabbed by a youth on Saturday after she rejected his repeated marriage proposals. The girl has now been admitted to a hospital suffering from serious injuries while the police serach is going on so as to catch the 22-year-old youth.
The incident took place around 6:30 am near Kankinara Baazar in North 24 parganas. The girl had gone to fetch water from a roadside tap. She was standing in the queu when Chottu, the youth, allegedly teased her. She shouted at him and told him to behave himself, but Chottu prolonged. Several others were standing in the queu, but none of them spoke up.
This boosted Chottu's courage and he allegedly proposed marriage to the girl. Thinking she had had enough, she asked Chottu to leave at once, but at that Chottu allegedly took out a knife and stabbed her repeatedly. As the knife stuck her in the shoulder, her back and hands, the girl started screaming for help.
As more people rushed into the spot, Chottu fled away. The girl was taken to Bhatpara state General Hospital, where her body was sealed with nine stiches. Her condition is still critical. The girl, is reported to be a class XI student, who had an examination at school on Saturday.
Locals alleged that the youth, who lives two houses away from the girls house, had been teasing her for the past two weeks. He had been repeatedly proposing her for marriage, which she consistently turned down. Later on, a complaint was lodged at Jagaddal police station, but Chottu has gone into hiding.
The girl's mother said that her father, a school teacher, has been out of station for some days. The girl's mother added that, she came to know only by Friday that the youth used to tease her daughter, and soon after she came to know about it, she went into the youth's home and complained about it and asked his family to ensure that he didn't tease her in future. According to her, this seemed to be the sole reason for provoking him to kill her daughter.
The girl said from her hospital bed that the youth would tease her whenever she was on her way to school. She said that, she had warned him several times, but he did not pay any heed. Rather he continued to tease her, whenever he saw her on the streets. Later on Saturday morning, whe she went to fetch water from the roadside tap, he started teasing him. She shouted at him, but before she could do anything, he suddenly took out the knife and stabbed her with the knife.
Police said they have received a complaint and are conducting raids to catch the youth. Prima facie, they said, the youth scorred back after the girl rejected his marriage proposals.

The Delhi Police on Sunday registered a case against Team Anna member Kiran Bedi for allegedly misappropriating funds meant for her NGO's following a local court order. Crime branch DCP, Ashok Chand said a case under Sections 420 (cheating), 406 (criminal breach of trust), 120b (criminal conspiracy) of IPC has been slashed against Kiran Bedi.
The action comes a day after a local court passed an order to this effect.
The court had ordered registering an FIR against Kiran Bedi after taking note of a complaint filed by a Delhi lawyer Devinder Singh Chauhan who alleges that she looted various paramilitary forces and police organisations in the name of imparting free computer education under the banner of her NGOs.
Bedi, in reaction to th court order said that she was not surprised by this order, as she was already expecting this to happen sooner or later.
She said that she was informed about the fact that an FIR had been lodged against her and for her none of this act was a surprise and morover it was strengthening her determination to do more.

A youth in his twenties was charged with rape after a 15 year-old girl delivered a baby girl. The mother alleged that the youth had rapped her, leading to the pregnancy.
The complaint was lodged after the girl gave birth to a child at Mayo Hospital on Tuesday. According to the complaint lodged by the girl, the accused named Shidhtu had once lured her to drive in an autorickshaw. He later on took her to a deserted place near Waddhamma, where he first raped her around nine months ago. The girl claimed that the youth, who the girl claimed was a resident of Ambedkar Nagar in Wadi, even threatened her.
Police said that later on the accused became a regular visitor to her residence. Wadi police said that from the past many years, the victim and her younger broher had been living with their grandparents, since their father left them and their mother married for the second time.
Cops suspect that the girl is a bit mentally disturbed. The police where informed by the police authorities and neighbours when the girl complained of labour pains on Tuesday. Wadi police are still searching for the accused.

The Delhi High Court will continue the hearing of the bail plea of DMK Mp Kanimozhi and five other accused in the 2G spectrum case on Monday. Kanimozhi was hoping to get bail today but it could not materialise as the court decided to continue the hearing of the matter on Monday and so no bail was granted today.
Justice VK Shali heard the prolonging arguments on the bail applications of Kanimozhi, Kalaignar TV chief Sharad Kumar, Cineyug Film's Karim Morani, Kusegaon Fruits and Vegetables Pvt Ltd directors Asif Balwa, Rajiv B Agarwal and former telecom secretary Siddharth Behura and added that he will hear the remaining arguments on Monday.
The six co-accused moved the court on Wednesday for early hearing of their bail applications after the Supreme Court granted bail to five accused in the case – Sanjay Chandra of Unitech Wireless, Vinod Goenka of Swan Telecoms and Reliance Group's Gautam Doshi, Surendra Pipara and Hari Nair.
Subsequently, the pleas of the MP and five others which were scheduled to be held on December 1st in the Delhi High Court were brought forward to Friday.
