Which web application can be faster than an earthquake?
Well... faster that earthquakes is Twitter, of course, at least in a viral video.

HTC: gives Italy's Incredible S a generous portion of Gingerbread
In February we were told the Incredible S would be updated to Gingerbread by the end of Q2 2011, and HTC has the first batch out of the oven well ahead of the deadline.
Rather than having to wait until June for the refresh to get pushed out, Italian owners of the flagship device are already on the receiving end of an over-the-air update bumping them up to Android 2.3.3. Call it a hunch, but we suspect this is a foreboding that the build will witness a global launch much sooner than any of us had planned. If the above picture isn't legit enough, hop down to the video after the break.

Nokia and Microsoft sign definitive agreement, bring Windows Phone handsets closer to realization
Microsoft and Nokia's industry-altering announcement of a strategic alliance back in February has today been bolstered with the signing of a definitive agreement between the two companies. In announcing the inking of the paperwork, the Microkia crew point out that they're already hard at work developing "a portfolio" of
Nokia Windows Phone devices, which will be shipping "in volume" in 2012, but there's still a twinkling hope that they can get something out on the market in 2011. Nokia devs have started porting key applications and services to Windows Phone, with mapping and navigation getting a highlight mention, while there will indeed be a "Nokia-branded global application store that leverages the Windows Marketplace infrastructure." Notably, this is described as a single portal where devs can serve their apps to users of Windows Phone, Symbian and Series 40 devices -- it'll be interesting to see how they work out the details of that. There's also confirmation that Microsoft will pay Nokia multiple billions of dollars as part of the agreement, some of which will be spent on completing an intellectual property-sharing agreement between the two teams. So yes, the third ecosystem is well and truly on its way.

Packard Bell debuts Liberty Tab Honeycomb tablet | clearly adores freedom
You didn't think that Acer wouldn't be sharing some of its new tablets with its still-kicking Packard Bellsubsidiary, did you? The latter has now debuted the Liberty Tab, its own spin on Acer's Iconia Tab A500.
As you might expect, however, there aren't many differences beyond the name, with this one packing the same styling, 10-inch screen, Tegra 2 processor, dual cameras, and Honeycomb OS as its more widely-available counterpart. Launch details are still a bit iffy, but you can apparently expect this one to hit Europe sometime in June, with pricing to vary by country. Head on past the break for a hands-on video courtesy of Notebook Italia.

Motorola Droid Bionic Hands On
Motorola Droid Bionic
Motorola will soon launch its Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) powered tablet at the CES 2011 in Las Vegas. This device was earlier known as the Motorola Droid Xoom, but Motorola accidentally revealed the device on their website, even before the press conference started. The Motorola’s Honeycomb tablet will be called as the “Motorola Xoom” and not the rumored Motorola Droid Xoom.
Along with the Xoom tablet, Motorola revealed a new device, which is also expected to launch today, at the event. This handset is called as the Motorola Droid Bionic. No details of this handset is currently available. But we can clearly see in the picture above, that the device sport a large touch screen display.
Both the tablet and the Motorola Droid Bionic smartphone will be launched today at the event. Are you excited?

App review | SPB Shell 3D for Android
As we all know, the beauty of Android stems from the fact that you get a wide variety of choices when it comes to devices and interface, though the latter can sometimes be a double-edged sword. Luckily, users who are fed up with their bloated Android UI but don't want to (or can't) mess around with ROMs now have another easy solution. Joining the handful of Android launchers is SPB's Shell 3D app, which installs as a replacement (but removable) home screen that comes with some nifty widgets (radio switches, backlight dimmer, weather forecast with a 3D chart, clock with over 60 skins, world time with a 3D globe, etc.) and resizeable folders.
As you can see above, the highlight of the show here is a cool-looking 3D carousel for switching between up to 16 panels, and you can trigger it by either tapping or horizontally dragging the bottom-center button. Whilst in carousel mode, you can also rearrange the panels, change their colors, or flick away excess panels. All of this required no manual reading on our end, so it's safe to say that this is a pretty intuitive app. Read on to see what the performance is like.
We've been playing with Shell 3D on our Xperia Play, Nexus S, and Dell Venue for a few days, and we're still surprised by its butter-like smoothness -- SPB claims that the app is rendered consistently at 60fps on most modern Android devices. The only time we see this app hiccup is when we throw in the Pictures panel (for displaying Flickr's pictures of the day), so while this feature is a nice touch, we tend to keep it tucked away for minimal irritation. Other than that, we enjoy casually spinning the carousel or flicking between the panels for the subtle 3D transition effect, without significantly affecting battery life as well.
As for the app list, it's simply a vertical scrolling list with springy effects when you hit the top or bottom, but there's also a nice addition here: apps that already have a shortcut added to a panel are marked with a little home icon. That said, there's another side to this: for some reason, SPB decided that we shouldn't be allowed to add the same shortcut to multiple panels, which can be annoying for those who want maximum accessibility to the most frequently used shortcuts. For an app costing $14.95, this shouldn't be too much to ask for, right? But otherwise, Shell 3D is a pretty neat add-on for those looking to breathe new life into their Android phones.

How to Jailbreak iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPad With Red Snow.
This is a simple guide to jailbreak (untethered) almost any iOS 4.3.1 device on Mac or Windows (iPhone 4, 3GS, iPad 1, iPod touch 4, 3G)
- This works with iPhone 4(AT&T), iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch 4, iPod Touch 3G, and iPad 1
- This DOESN’T work with iPhone 4(verizon) and iPad 2
- iPhone 4 Unlockers don’t do this, Ultrasn0w isn’t ready.
- On Windows make sure to right click on Redsnow.exe and run it in Windows XP SP3 Compatibility Mode and as Administrator.
- Update your device to iOS 4.3.1 before you do this guide.
- Update iTunes to the latest version before you do this guide.
