Sprint's Common Cents brand falls into the sofa cushions | replaced by Virgin Mobile Beyond Talk

Sprint's Common Cents brand falls into the sofa cushions, replaced by Virgin Mobile Beyond Talk
It was some... curious timing. On May 6th of last year Sprint's new boy toy Virgin Mobile announced theBeyond Talk prepaid plan. Then, just a week later, Sprint launched its own, separate prepaid plan,Common Cents.
Beyond Talk started at $25 a month for 300 minutes while Common Cents was $.07 per minute, all contact free. The latter of those two is now dying away, never catching on despite what must be said is a rather catchy name. Its users are being lumped into the Virgin payLo scheme, while Beyond Talk will take over the kiosks and marketing avenues currently occupied by Common Cents. There, with its rag-tag group of featurephones and data plans, it will continue the fight against the evil TracFoneempire.

Just found a trick to increase eCPM for adsense

I just found out something very interesting and useful about AdSense, might not be totally legal though.Plase give your comments.
This trick allows you to increase your eCPM. As you all know, there is a "publisher id" that Google AdSense provides you. As some of you might have experienced before, once you delete the publisher id, the ads will keep being shown on the site, but you will be publishing them for no cost by Google's side. So you will be publishing freely. I will tell you something that won't bother you to leave your AdSense code without a publisher id for 4-5 days.

I did a test about this, and the result was great. I removed the publisher id. The first 2-3 days, AdSense spider almost never left my site (the same site we're talking about here, before with publisher id, and after without publisher id). The following 9 days, the spider never came to the site though. But guess what this test taught me? After I removed my publisher id for 2-3 days, when I put my publisher code again my eCPM was as high as $1,2. I was getting $1,2 per click and the ads shown were high paying ones instead of those crappy ones. That was an amazing experience for me.
Before joining to adsense you must meet the following criteria
As a result, once your earnings start to decrease, remove your publisher id for a few days, and put it back later again. Or you can just do this periodically to keep your eCPM high. You will earn more than you lose for sure!

PS. The site I used in this test was about "women" and had been considered as trash before I made this research. The test had been applied on 2 different accounts, and both tests were positive

How to Jailbreak iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPad With Red Snow.

This is a simple guide to jailbreak (untethered) almost any iOS 4.3.1 device on Mac or Windows (iPhone 4, 3GS, iPad 1, iPod touch 4, 3G)
  • This works with iPhone 4(AT&T), iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch 4, iPod Touch 3G, and iPad 1
  • This DOESN’T work with iPhone 4(verizon) and iPad 2
  • iPhone 4 Unlockers don’t do this, Ultrasn0w isn’t ready.
  • On Windows make sure to right click on Redsnow.exe and run it in Windows XP SP3 Compatibility Mode and as Administrator.
  • Update your device to iOS 4.3.1 before you do this guide.
  • Update iTunes to the latest version before you do this guide.

This is a short video of Honeycomb running on the Galaxy Tab. It was developed by spacemoose1 at XDA and is in its VERY early stages.

Sprint says its NFC-based payment service will launch this year

AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon may have all lined upto support the so-called Isis mobile payment system for cellphones, but Sprint has decided to go it alone for various reasons, and it's now saying it plans to beat the others to market. As Bloombergreports, Sprint is already working with payment networks and handset makers on its own NFC-based system, and it says it plans to roll out the

service sometime this year, while Isis has previously stated that it only expects to be ready in 2012. While details are otherwise still fairly light, Sprint says that customers will be able to have purchases billed to their regular credit card statements rather than their phone bill, and that it will rely on alternatives to taking a percentage each transaction for itself as Isis plans to do. Of course, while this is Sprint's latest move in the space, it's far from its first -- in fact, it's been running NFC trials as far back as 2007.

Google's Advice on Robots.txt

Even before the concept of search engine optimization was introduced, robots.txt has been a fixture on websites. With or without SEO, its purpose was clear: to request search engines to ignore crawling certain files and folders as specified in the protocol. These pages may have been placed on our servers for convenient access to certain people, but with the concept of open Web, whatever we uploaded can now be seen by anyone who has access to the Internet through search engines. That's where robots.txt comes into picture.

With SEO we have become more aware of what search engines can do. Our purpose of doing SEO is to make our pages more visible, thereby attracting more visitors who see its more prominent search engine placement. But prominent search engine placement for wrong keywords and pages is not

only embarrassing, but also damaging especially if it involves moderately sensitive information such as next week's menu for a restaurant website or an upcoming promotion of a shopping mall.Personally I wouldn't require the placement of robots.txt into a website especially if all the pages and files uploaded are supposed to be crawled, indexed and ranked by search engines. I would introduce it only when I wish to block search engines from accessing certain pages or images. Some SEOs would recommend placement of robots.txt file even if their main objective is full indexing by search engines, often with a common code:

User-agent: * Allow: /.

But Google advises against doing so. Instead, the search giant recommends that webmasters remove the file and allow search engines to do their job.

In short, if we want search engines to scan all pages in our sites, there is no need to put robots.txt file into our servers; by default they'll do it anyway.
