Third mail warns Ahmedabad, IM mail traced to WB

The National nvestigation Agency (NIA) sources on Friday told the news reporters that the e-mail which was supposedly to be sent by the Indian Mujahideen claiming responsibility for the Delhi blast has been traced to West Bengal even as a third e-mail surfaced warning of an attack in Ahmedabad. However, still efforts are being undertaken to trace the IP address of theIndian Mujahideen e-mail.

The third mail was sent to the Delhi police was in codes which had to be make out to reveal the target as Ahmedabad. The e-mail threatens an attack in the Gujarat capital. Union Minister, P Chidambaram also advised other states to remain vigilant.

The e-mail sent from the id kill.india@yahoo.com read as, this is to inform you that Indian Mujahideen claims the terror attack on Delhi High Court. The message was sent to the Indian government that next blast will be so cruel that it will be unforgettable for the people for decades and revealed certain numbers which gave a clue that Ahmedabad was the next target.

The numbers were decoded to reveal Ahmedabad as the target as per the e-mail.

Sources say that the e-mail has been traced to Moscow, which seems to be a shadow route to conceal the location of the real senders.

Meanwhile, the preliminary forensic report on the Delhi High Court blast that contradict each other was sent to NIA. The Home Ministry and NIA had received forensic reports from Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) Gandhinagar, CFSL Hydrebad, CFSL Delhi and the National Security Guards.

Sources say that all the four reports contradict to each other. The only common point between the report is that a nitrate-based compound  was used in the Delhi blast. While one of the report says that the Research & Department Explosive (RDX) was used, while others claim that the explosive device had pentaerythritol tetranitrate (PETN). NIA has now asked for a final report from all the four labs.

After the HuJI e-mail originating from Kishtwar claiming the responsibility, a new mail allegedly from the Indian Mujahideen emerged on Thursday taking responsibility for the blast. The Delhi police has announced Rs. 5 lakh reward for anyone who can provide a lead.

Chidambaram claimed on Friday that the person who sent the e-mail claiming the responsibility of the Delhi High Court blast was carried out by HuJI has been traced and is being questioned.

The NIA, which is investigating the probe, has detained five people for questioning so far.
