Rahul promises a farmer-friendly bill in Parliament

Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi on Friday assured farmers that the central government would introduce a farmer-friendly land acquisition bill in Parliament.
Speaking to the farmers on the fourth day of his padayatra through the villages in UP, Rahul Gandhi assured the farmers that the proposed land acquisition bill finally passed would be farmer friendly.
He conducted several visits to many villages and heard their problems. While hearing the grievances of farmers, Rahul said that they have a coalition government at the centre in Delhi. There are a number of partners. They will hold discussions and will try their best to pass a farmer friendly bill in the next session of the Lok Sabha.
He also added that the National Advisory Council (NAC) and the government both were discussing the law.
He again added on that the Congress party runs the union government and they will do their best to give a new and best law.
Rahul Gandhi also accused Mayawati and her government of not properly utilising central funds earmarked for various schemes. He stated that the state government's intention was only to help one person that is the builders and not the farmers.
He however said that if the congress comes into power in UP, it will be the farmer's government, the poor people's government. It will not be the Congress government but the government of Uttar Pradesh.
