Yahoo! phone will be launched next month in Japan

A Yahoo branded phone will be launched next month in Japan, where the American site is among the most accessed, writes TechCrunh. The phone will be launched by SoftBank, the third largest mobile operator in Japan, which is the majority shareholder of Yahoo Japan.



The handset is produced by Sharp and has a 4 inch screen, 8 megapixel camera, Android 2.3 Gingerbread, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and memory card slot.



In addition, the phone has e-wallet function, which means it can be used as an electronic wallet. This is not unusual in the Land of the Rising Sun, Japan to pay for purchases using the phone for many years.



Yahoo Phone, a possible rival for iPhone 5?



The phone is actually a rebranding AQUOS PHONE 009SH model, developed by Sharp and launched by SoftBank Mobile in a few weeks ago.



It is expected that the new Yahoo smartphone users to find specific Android operating system applications, and Japanese popular Yahoo services: Japan Home, Yahoo Calendar, Japan Auctions, Yahoo Dictionary or Yahoo Loco. Softbank will deliver the Yahoo phone in Japan starting September this year.

Samsung Galaxy R , a new android smartphone from Samsung

Samsung launched in Seoul, Samsung Galaxy R, the latest smartphone based on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). Galaxy R has a metallic thin and light design, 1 GHz Dual Core processor and a wide range of advanced features for social experiences and content.



According to the technical data, Galaxy R is positioned after the current flagship, Samsung Galaxy S II and you may also consider it the Galaxy S II smaller brother.

The housing of the new Samsung Galaxy R has a thickness of only 9.55 mm and the phone weight is 131 grams. Galaxy R is equipped with a battery of 1650 mAh providing 580 minutes of conversation and 550 hours in standby. Galaxy R, with it's 5MP camera (compared to 8 MP Samsung's Full HD for Galaxy S II) can record HD 720p videos and play HD 1080p videos at 30fps on a Super Clear LCD touch screen of 4.2 inch and 480 x 800 pixels resolution. Samsung Galaxy R has full connectivity support (HSDPA, WiFi, Bluetooth), and also the navigation (GPS, A-GPS, Google Maps).

Samsung Admire, a new smartphone from Samsung with Android OS

Images with Samsung Admire leaked on the internet, 2 months before the official launch of the new android smartphone.



This model will run Android 2.3 Gingerbread, it will have a 3,5 inch display and a 3.2 MP camera with flash.

Samsung Admire (code name SCH-R720) will be equipped with a 800 MHz procesor, 3G capabilities, GPS, WiFi and Bluetooth.



Samsung Admire it will be probably launched in September and it will be sold with 150 $ for a subscription.
