Sony Ericsson XPERIA Nozomi

Well, would you look at that: our first glance at Sony Ericsson's upcoming Nozomi and the photos are actually in focus. The LT26i is still rocking Gingerbread, but steps it up in the display department by moving to a 1280 x 720 panel, just like the Rezound and Galaxy Nexus.

Most reports peg the Nozomi a having a 4.3-inch screen, but after some quick math it looks like its actually packing a 4.6-incher(Update: or... 4.3 inches, if the DPI reported is API related and not a hardware reference after all). The Quadrant score of 1,800 (which would put it in the realm of the Xoom and Galaxy Tab 10.1) also doesn't quite jibe with the rumored dual-core 1.5GHz chip that's supposed to be powering this device. The front facing camera is clearly visible, so it'll be ready for all your video chatting adventures. Price, release date, carrier? Sony has launched Tablet P, the world first pliable tablet

Sony introduced the first pliable tablet in the world, hoping to overthrow the most popular gadget of its kind produced by Apple.



The Sony tablet P (SGPT212) initially known as Sony S2 has two displays of 5.5 inches with 1024 x 480 resolution and it can be folded in two pieces, so that gives a greater portability. The two displays can be merged into a larger screen, when the tablet is opened.



Sony Tablet P will cost up to $ 30 less than iPad, known as the world's best selling tablet. The tablet was designed to be transported even in the pocket, with dimensions of 79 x 26mm x180 and a weight of 372 grams.



The Sony tablet P has the same processor Tegra 2 and the same cameras as the Sony Tablet S model, as well as WiFi and 3G connectivity. The 4 GB internal memory can be expanded with microSD cards. Sony P arrives in November and will be equipped with Android 3.2.

Sony S (SGPT111), initially known as S1 is a tablet focusing on multimedia playback, gaming and web content. It comes equipped with a 9.4 inch touch screen and 1280 x 800 pixels, Tegra 2 processor at 1 GHz, a 5.11 megapixel camera and a front 0.3 MP and an asymmetrical design.



Basically, Sony S has dimensions of 241.2mm x S 10.1mm x 174.3 mm and a weight of 598 grams.



At the connection section we can remember WiFi, 3G from November (3G model arrives a little later), USB 2.0 and Bluetooth. The tablet is available with 16 and 32GB internal memory.

Sony P arrives in November.

Sony Tablet S will be initially available with Android 3.1 and will receive an upgrade to 3.2, while Tablet P will arrive directly with Android 3.2.

If there was one thing that bothered us most about the Xperia Play, it was the dearth of original PlayStation games we could, you know, play on it. That's getting a shot in the arm tonight with the introduction of five PS One titles to the Android Market: Syphon Filter, MediEvil, Cool Boarders 2,Destruction Derby, and Jumping Flash. Each is priced at £3.99 in the UK, with the first two games on the list also being available in five languages. That pricing translates to $6.38 when the games are accessed from the US, but we imagine the final pricing may differ once the Xperia Play lands stateside. And yes, the Xperia Play will be your only way to access these for now (R800i is its codename), leaving the rest of us Android PS One lovers with a bunch of games to envy and one less emulator to enjoy. The Android giveth, and the Android taketh away.

Update: Sony Ericsson wants you to know that since the Xperia Play is, in fact, an Android handset, it won't be restricted to just those five PS One games -- it will also feature quite a few titles that you can also find on the Android Market and even a few temporary exclusives like Backstab and Dungeon Defenders Second Wave.
