Sony Ericsson XPERIA Nozomi

Well, would you look at that: our first glance at Sony Ericsson's upcoming Nozomi and the photos are actually in focus. The LT26i is still rocking Gingerbread, but steps it up in the display department by moving to a 1280 x 720 panel, just like the Rezound and Galaxy Nexus.

Most reports peg the Nozomi a having a 4.3-inch screen, but after some quick math it looks like its actually packing a 4.6-incher(Update: or... 4.3 inches, if the DPI reported is API related and not a hardware reference after all). The Quadrant score of 1,800 (which would put it in the realm of the Xoom and Galaxy Tab 10.1) also doesn't quite jibe with the rumored dual-core 1.5GHz chip that's supposed to be powering this device. The front facing camera is clearly visible, so it'll be ready for all your video chatting adventures. Price, release date, carrier? Samsung come up with new Galaxy R model

Samsung has introduced a new brand in their product line this time model name is Samsung Galaxy R this mobile is equiped with 4.2 inch Crystal clear LCD.

When we talk about processor this is powered with dual-core processor but specification of processor is not mentioned by Samsung yet but we heard from resources that it should be  Nvidia Tegra 2 chipset, which is not as good as Exynos. the memory which gives Galaxy R speedy is about 1 GB RAM which is as same as Galaxy SII, storage in Galaxy R is 8GB Memory which is built in and you can expand up to 32GB via Micro SD card.

If we talk about camera resolution so it is downgraded from 8mega pixel to 5 Mega Pixel in Galaxy R and detail is still images are up to 720p and videos play  1080p and front camera resolution is 2 Mega Pixel which is fair enough.

Samsung Exhibit 4G coming to T-Mobile on June 8th

It wasn't even two weeks ago that we first glimpsed the Samsung Exhibit 4G for T-Mobile in the wild (and spied its FCC footprint). Now it looks like this Gingerbread phone will go on sale June 8th -- if this flyer sent in to TmoNews is to be believed. Still no word on pricing, though we know dealers will pay $325 a pop. To recap, a peek at the filing and unauthorized photos reveals the Exhibit 4G is an HSPA + handset running TouchWiz on top of Android 2.3, with front and rear-facing cameras, an LED flash in the back, and a microSD card slot. The site's sources also suggest the phone will pack a 1GHz Hummingbird CPU and a 3 megapixel back camera, a departure from the speculation we were treated to earlier this month. In any case, it looks like T-Mobile will set the record straight in a matter of weeks.

HTC: gives Italy's Incredible S a generous portion of Gingerbread

In February we were told the Incredible S would be updated to Gingerbread by the end of Q2 2011, and HTC has the first batch out of the oven well ahead of the deadline.

 Rather than having to wait until June for the refresh to get pushed out, Italian owners of the flagship device are already on the receiving end of an over-the-air update bumping them up to Android 2.3.3. Call it a hunch, but we suspect this is a foreboding that the build will witness a global launch much sooner than any of us had planned. NEC's waterproof MEDIAS N-06C to get a sprinkle of | Gingerbread and 1GHz power

The MEDIAS N-04C might well be the hotness in the world of super slim phones right now, but if you're looking for something with a little more oomph and protection against water, then NEC's also got you covered. According to a pamphlet obtained by datacider, the MEDIAS family will soon be welcoming a 

Gingerbread-powered N-06C, which closely resembles the N-04C except for the extra 0.2mm thickness plus 10g weight, as well as touch buttons instead of physical ones. But what we really care about here are the IPX5 and IPX7 waterproof ratings, meaning this 7.9mm-thick Android's been tested against small water jets and one-meter immersion, respectively. On the inside, apart from the faster 1GHz chip and 14Mbps FOMA download speed, the rest are pretty much what we've seen before: 4-inch 480 x 854 LCD, 1GB ROM, 512MB RAM, 802.11n WiFi, and 5 megapixel camera with 720p video. There's no clear indication on a release date, but you're welcome to kill some time by checking out the full spec sheet after the break.

Download Skype with Video for the HTC Thunderbolt !

HTC Thunderbolt users, is your lucky day. Following news that you’re getting Gingerbread soon, we now bring youSkype with Video chat. For those not in the know, the Thunderbolt was supposed to launch with Skype with Video, but the app was

 yanked at the last minute. None of that matters now, Skype with Video is here for all to enjoy — except for everybody else not using a Thunderbolt of course. I’m still not sure why companies like Skype and Qik launch their apps with video-calling support for just a few phones (deals with carriers?). It’s just one of those extremely annoying ‘fragmentation” things we have to deal with Android. At least until Google lays down the law and releases Google Talk with Video for everybody. Meanwhile, we’ll have to make do with Tango.

HTC Desire Gingerbread | test ROM gets leaked

Alongside today's EVO 4G leak, a Gingerbread test ROM for the HTC Desire has also leaked out via the 911HTC blog. Version 3.06.707.0 is based on Android 2.3.3, but is running the old version of Sense, which will come as disappointing news for Desire owners hoping to get their hands on the new-fangled Sense 2.0 found on more recent handsets.

Right now the ROM (pre-rooted, of course) is available as a flashable zip courtesy of XDA member robocik. Upon initial inspection, we noticed the clock widget animations and "fast boot" feature from Sense 2.0 have been ported across, and there seem to be some minor UI changes in the browser too.

Flashing an unofficial leaked ROM like this should always be approached with caution. If you decide to take the plunge, remember that this ROM is intended for GSM Desires from Europe and Asia -- it won't work on the U.S. Celular CDMA version of the phone. [XDA,911HTC]

HTC confirms Android 2.3 | Gingerbread coming to Droid Incredible this summer

HTC Droid Incredible owners have been patiently waiting for their Android 2.3 Gingerbreadupdate and while we still don't have an actual release date for it, HTC is now advising folks it will be arriving "this summer" as noted in the email below:
