Samsung Galaxy R , a new android smartphone from Samsung

Samsung launched in Seoul, Samsung Galaxy R, the latest smartphone based on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). Galaxy R has a metallic thin and light design, 1 GHz Dual Core processor and a wide range of advanced features for social experiences and content.



According to the technical data, Galaxy R is positioned after the current flagship, Samsung Galaxy S II and you may also consider it the Galaxy S II smaller brother.

The housing of the new Samsung Galaxy R has a thickness of only 9.55 mm and the phone weight is 131 grams. Galaxy R is equipped with a battery of 1650 mAh providing 580 minutes of conversation and 550 hours in standby. Galaxy R, with it's 5MP camera (compared to 8 MP Samsung's Full HD for Galaxy S II) can record HD 720p videos and play HD 1080p videos at 30fps on a Super Clear LCD touch screen of 4.2 inch and 480 x 800 pixels resolution. Samsung Galaxy R has full connectivity support (HSDPA, WiFi, Bluetooth), and also the navigation (GPS, A-GPS, Google Maps).



2011 proves to be a special year for Samsung as the leader in smartphone devices segment. We are very excited about Android smartphones portfolio.

Samsung come up with new Galaxy R model

Samsung has introduced a new brand in their product line this time model name is Samsung Galaxy R this mobile is equiped with 4.2 inch Crystal clear LCD.

When we talk about processor this is powered with dual-core processor but specification of processor is not mentioned by Samsung yet but we heard from resources that it should be  Nvidia Tegra 2 chipset, which is not as good as Exynos. the memory which gives Galaxy R speedy is about 1 GB RAM which is as same as Galaxy SII, storage in Galaxy R is 8GB Memory which is built in and you can expand up to 32GB via Micro SD card.

If we talk about camera resolution so it is downgraded from 8mega pixel to 5 Mega Pixel in Galaxy R and detail is still images are up to 720p and videos play  1080p and front camera resolution is 2 Mega Pixel which is fair enough.

Connectivity which makes you easier to connect you via Wi-Fi 802.11n, HSPA+ and Bluetooth 3.0
