Yellowsn0w is the tool that was released on the New Year and this tool is capable of unlocking iPhone 3G firmware 2.2. After the release of iPhone firmware 2.2.1, there was no tool to unlock it, but the iPhone Dev Team tweeted a couple of hours back about the release of Yellowsn0w 0.9.8.
Yellowsn0w 0.9.8 can unlock iPhone 2.2.1. This news have still not made to the iPhone Dev Team’s blog, but the tweet showed that soon the official tool update will be out and available for download.
Along with the unlock feature, Yellowsn0w 0.9.8 also comes out with some fixes, specifically the wifi issue that many users had on their iPhone 3G.
So far, there have been no links to download Yellowsn0w 0.9.8. But as soon as they appear on the official blog, I’ll update them here.
