  • Connect your iPhone or iPod Touch to your Mac
  • Start iTunes if it hasn’t started automatically.
  • From iTunes click on your iPhone or iPod touch from the device list
  • Hold down the Options key and click on Update button
  • Now browse and select the downloaded iOS 4 firmware update file and click on Open
  • iTunes will do the rest of job to update the firmware to iOS 4.0.
It will may take some time for iTunes to complete the updating of your iDevice firmware to iOS 4. During this process do not disconnect your iDevice until the update is completed.

iTunes 9 rumored to include Blu-Ray support and iPhone app re-organization

Hot on the heels of a report that the next iMac refresh will include 2 compelling new features, comes news that iTunes 9 will at long last include support for Blu-Ray video.

Citing a reliable source, Boy Genius Report writes that in addition to Blu-Ray support, iTunes 9 will also enable users to “visually organize and arrange iPhone and iPod Touch applications.” With some iPhone’s sporting well over 100 applications, manually re-arranging iPhone apps can be an exhausting chore, so this should come as welcome news for anyone who happens to be an app store fiend.
