Blacksn0w - Unlock iPhone 3.1.2 Baseband 05.11.07 [ video ]

blacksnowSome Hours ago I only wrote that we’ll soon see GeoHot coming out with Blacksn0w to unlock iPhone 3.1.2 Baseband 05.11.07 and he has finally done it today! He had been working for a while to find an exploit to come up with Blacksn0w to unlock iPhone 3.1.2 and looks like he has finally found it.

Blacksn0w will be released along blackra1n on November 4 which will work on both the iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS with 05.11.07 baseband.

The video below clearly shows GeoHot running an unsupported carrier SIM on the iPhone which is on 05.11.07 baseband.

Downgrade iPhone 3G Firmware 3.1 Baseband 05.11.07 to 04.26.08

On every blog I saw lots of complaints regarding problems when unlocking iPhone 3G running firmware 3.1 with ultrasn0w. iPhone 3G users who have upgraded to 3.1 stock from iTunes will get this problem because of the 05.11.07 baseband, which makes it impossible to unlock it with ultrasn0w. The current version of ultrasn0w can only unlock iPhone 3G on firmware 3.1 with older baseband version i.e. 04.26.08. Fortunately, there is a way to downgrade your baseband to 04.26.08 on your iPhone 3G so that you can unlock it with ultrasn0w on firmware 3.1. Here’s step by step instructions:

Downgrade iPhone 3G OS 3.1 with Fuzzyband

Step 1: To downgrade your baseband from 05.11.07 to 04.26.08, you must first jailbreak your iPhone 3G running firmware 3.1 by following the step-by-step guide posted here ( for 2g and for 3g)

Step 2: After you have jailbroken your iPhone, Go to “Cydia” on your iPhone and Search for “Fuzzyband” and then install this application.

Step 3: Start “Fuzzyband” app and touch on “Downgrade” button to downgrade your Baseband from 05.11.07 to 04.26.08.

Downgrade iPhone 3G OS 3.1 with Fuzzyband

Step 4: You should now be able to perfectly unlock your iPhone 3G using the latest version of ultrasn0w .

NOTE: Downgrading of baseband will only work on phones that have the 05.08 (5.8) Bootloader from the factory. If you do not know your bootloader then you can run Fuzzyband and it will report the version number for you.

blacksn0w to Unlock 05.11.07 Baseband on iPhone 3.1.2 Firmware

Good news for them who recently upgraded to iPhone 3.1.x firmware from iTunes! George Hotz (aka geohot) has confirmed in his blog post today that he is working on a tool dubbed blacksn0w, which will ultimately unlock 05.11.07 baseband (modem firmware) on iPhone 3G/3GS running iPhone 3.1.x firmware. He hasn’t given any ETA (estimated time of arrival) for it yet, but judging him from his past work, we can safely assume that it could be out in a few weeks time.

Here is a proof of concept screenshot which shows that he has managed to successfully run arbitrary code on the 05.11.07 baseband.

blacksn0w

For those of you who don’t know, geohot is the guy who first unlocked the original iPhone in 2007, and then later he was the first one to provide all-in-one jailbreak solution for iPhone 3.1.2 firmware through his infamous tool, named blackra1n.

If your phone is on 05.11.07 baseband with 05.08 (5.8) Bootloader from factory, then follow our guide here to downgrade your baseband from 05.11.07 to 04.26.08 in order to jailbreak and unlock it on iPhone 3.1.2 firmware.

Top 10+ Free Games for Windows Mobile

When we think of Windows Mobile Game or check the online reviews of the Best Pocket PC Games we usually come across the same old stuff. Thats why I m now posting a list of windows mobile games. Hope you like it!

Solterra -First up is an amazing 3D space shooter. This game is designed to run on Windows Mobile PDAs with an Intel 2700g graphics accelerator, so it's pretty much just for Dell Axim X50v/X51v users.

NetHack -While we're on nostalgic games, let's not forget NetHack. This role-playing game has been ported to almost as many systems as Doom. It runs on DOS, Linux, Mac, and Windows systems. And of course, Windows Mobile. In fact, the game has been ported to run on everything from Windows CE 2.11 for handheld or Palm-Sized PCs to Windows Mobile 5.0.

Death Drive– Who doesn’t love a little vehicular combat? Death Drive brings Carmageddon like combat to your Windows Mobile powered device.

Kevtris – What is mobile gaming without at least one version of Tetris?

Pocket Heroes – Pocket Heroes is a Heroes of Might and Magic game clone for Pocket PC. It may be a bit simple for some, but still a lot of fun.

Realms– A space based shooting game that might remind you a bit of the old Asteroids arcade game, but only in concept. Multiple ships to choose from and numerous levels to explore.

Egoman -is a re-imagining of Pac-man as a first-person shooter. The graphics are pretty decent, and the motion seems to zip along smoothly on a reasonably fast PDA. It's takes a little too long for our tastes to turn around, meaning that you'll probably never see Blink, Pinky, Inky and Clyde as they come to steal your soul, or whatever it is that they do.

Project GD - is a top-down shooter that puts Space Invaders to shame. The only problem is that the game ends pretty abruptly.

DopeWars -There's nothing that can quite describe the feeling of playing DopeWars while waiting for jury duty. The beauty of mobile gaming is that nobody can tell what you're playing unless they're super nosy and go out of their way to look over your shoulder. The graphics aren't particularly impressive, but you get two types of Tetris, Snake, Cannons, a Jawbreak clone, an Arkanoid clone, and two types of Mahjong.

PDAmill -Peter Balogh, the developer of these games now works for PDAmill, makers of several new Gameboxes with better graphics and more distraction power.

Xonix -is another classic game that's been ported to Windows Mobile. You control a spider that has to scramble across a board while avoiding monsters. The goal is to cut the board into sections without letting monsters touch the spider or its web.
