Verizon Samsung Droid Charge 4G LTE | New Verizon cell phones

The new Verizon Samsung Droid Charge is an 4G network device, It has a 1600mAh battery compared to the HTC Thunderbolts 1200mAh. The Droid Charge has 32gb of internal memory and Unlimited 4G data. But price for $299.99. Yeah, the unsubsidized price looks pretty ridiculous for the specs in my opinion, but hopefully a 3rd party retailer like Amazon, Wirefly and the like will have a far less expensive subsidized price.

The Verizon Samsung Droid Charge cell phone features include a 4.3-inch (800 x 480) Super-AMOLED touch screen display, 8 megapixel camera, 1.3 megapixel front-facing shooter, 1GHz processor, 512MB RAM/ROM, 2GB Internal Memory, 32GB MicroSD and Google Android 2.2 Froyo. The specs aren’t very impressive nor is Android but if it performs nicely and actually has a decent battery life, it might be worth it to some, especially if Verizon’s dropping their unlimited 4G plan sooner than we’d hope.

Samsung Droid Charge source code released: now we just need the phone

We know, we know. You can't wait to get your hands on the Samsung Droid Charge. You know, that smartphone formerly known as the Samsung 4G LTE Smartphone that we took a look at back at CES. And it's also known as the Samsung i510. And that, my friends,

just dumped its source code in Samsung's aptly named Samsung Open Source Release Center. So while we wait for the phone's official release (and official naming, for that matter), you can get your download on and see what's under the hood. [Samsung Open Source Release Center (search fro SCH-i510)]
